The largest U.S. title insurance underwriter, competing directly with FNF's Fidelity National Title and Chicago Title for the same residential and commercial closings through the same lender, realtor and agency channels.
Its Old Republic National Title unit holds a market share comparable to FNF's flagship underwriter and bids for the same agency network and lender-driven refinance and purchase volume.
The fourth member of the title insurance "big four", selling the same title policies and escrow and closing services to home buyers, lenders and commercial real estate clients across the United States.
The largest independent underwriter, it wins business by signing up the independent title agencies that FNF also needs to distribute its policies at the local level.
A privately held national underwriter that competes for the same agency and lender relationships and has been taking share from the big four in residential closings.
