Tyson, JBS Shares Surge as US Reopens Mexico Cattle Imports After Screwworm Ban

Tyson Foods Inc. and JBS NV shares experienced significant gains following the US government's decision to lift the ban on cattle imports from Mexico. This move is expected to alleviate a domestic shortage of animals, which has been driving up costs for meatpackers. Investors view this development positively, signaling a return to more normalized supply chains and reduced cost pressures for the company.
