- 2/25/2026POSITIVEUS Closes $26.5 Billion in Financing for Southern Co. Utilities
The Trump administration has finalized a $26.5 billion loan package for Southern Company's subsidiaries, earmarked for new gas and hydropower projects across Georgia and Alabama. This substantial financing represents a robust capital injection for the utility giant, securing the economic backing for strategic initiatives poised to bolster its production capacity and financial stability.
