Analog Devices sells the same high-performance RF, microwave and millimeter-wave signal-chain parts — amplifiers, switches, frequency converters — to the same telecom infrastructure and defense radar customers MACOM designs into.
Qorvo competes head-on in RF power amplifiers and GaN devices for wireless infrastructure, radar and electronic-warfare programs, the market MACOM reinforced by buying Wolfspeed's RF business.
Broadcom supplies the optical interconnect components and high-speed chipsets that data-center and AI-cluster builders buy instead of MACOM's laser drivers, transimpedance amplifiers and photodiodes.
Semtech's signal-integrity and optical driver products target the same high-speed data-center and telecom transport links where MACOM sells its analog optical portfolio.
Credo bids for the same high-speed connectivity sockets inside AI and cloud data centers, offering an alternative path to the 100G-per-lane and faster links MACOM's optical components serve.
This Sumitomo Electric unit builds GaN and compound-semiconductor RF devices and optical components for base stations, radar and fiber networks, competing for the same design wins MACOM chases in Asia and beyond.
