Tyson, JBS Shares Surge as US Reopens Mexico Cattle Imports After Screwworm Ban

Tyson Foods Inc. and JBS NV shares experienced significant gains following the US government's decision to lift the ban on cattle imports from Mexico. This move is expected to alleviate a domestic shortage of animals, which has been driving up costs for meatpackers. The resumption of imports is anticipated to stabilize and potentially lower feedstock prices for Tyson, improving its profit margins and operational efficiency. Investors view this development positively, signaling a return to more normalized supply chains and reduced cost pressures for the company.
