Eaton's Bussmann series fuses and circuit-protection devices go head to head with Littelfuse in all three of its segments — electronics, transportation and industrial — and Littelfuse names Eaton as a competitor in each of them.
Mersen is the other large maker of industrial and semiconductor fuses for power distribution, competing directly with Littelfuse's industrial segment for the same electrical-infrastructure and renewable-energy customers.
Bourns, a privately held US manufacturer, sells overlapping lines of circuit-protection components — TVS diodes, resettable fuses, varistors — to the same electronics OEMs and distributors Littelfuse supplies.
Vishay competes in Littelfuse's electronics segment with discrete semiconductors and passive protection components sold to the same industrial, automotive and consumer electronics designers.
Sensata competes for the same automotive and commercial-vehicle platforms, supplying the sensors and electrical protection content that Littelfuse's transportation segment also bids for.
TE Connectivity bids against Littelfuse for transportation electrification content, bundling connectors, sensors and protection devices for the same vehicle manufacturers.
