McKesson Unit Prices $2.25 Billion Leveraged Loan Ahead of IPO

McKesson Corp.'s medical-surgical unit has priced a $2.25 billion leveraged loan. This move precedes the unit's anticipated initial public offering (IPO). While the loan issuance itself is a financing activity, its direct impact on McKesson's stock price is neutral at this stage. The successful pricing indicates market appetite for the unit's debt, which could be a positive precursor to the IPO, but the primary focus remains on the upcoming equity offering rather than the debt itself for immediate trading signals.
