YETI's coolers and insulated drinkware compete directly with Newell's Coleman and Contigo for outdoor and on-the-go consumers, and Helen of Troy's filings place the two in the same beverageware contest.
Helen of Troy's OXO kitchen tools and Hydro Flask drinkware fight Newell's Rubbermaid, Calphalon and Contigo lines for the same housewares and beverageware shelf space at US mass retailers, and its own 10-K names Newell Brands as a competitor.
Spectrum's Black+Decker and Russell Hobbs kitchen appliances and its home-care lines compete head-on with Newell's Crockpot, Oster, Sunbeam and Mr. Coffee for the same North American and European household customers.
Hamilton Beach is the other big volume brand in US small kitchen appliances, selling blenders, slow cookers and coffee makers against Newell's Oster, Crockpot and Mr. Coffee in the same retail aisles and price tiers.
Lifetime Brands sells kitchenware, food storage and bakeware under licensed names such as KitchenAid and Farberware, competing with Newell's Rubbermaid food storage and Calphalon cookware for the same kitchen purchase.
ACCO's writing, school and office products — Mead, Five Star, Swingline, Derwent — compete with Newell's Learning and Development brands Sharpie, Paper Mate, Expo and Elmer's for the same back-to-school and office channels.
